If there are no depositions in your matter, you will see the following screen. Click Add new to add a new deposition.
On the Basic info screen, select a deposition date from the calendar dropdown, or manually enter a date in the text box.
In the Witness dropdown, select a witness form the list, or click New Witness to create a new witness.
If the selected witness appears in other depositions, they will be listed, along with links to view them in the deposition viewer.
Click Edit witness to modify the witness’s name, party alignment, and expert witness status.
When the basic info is complete, click Continue.
On the Upload Files screen, click browse your computer to navigate to and select the files for the deposition.
When your files have been uploaded, they will be displayed according to their type:
Transcript files, which must be .txt or .asc files (see transcript processing for more details around file types, formatting, and common issues)
Video files
Exhibit files
Other documents
Drag and drop video and exhibit files to reorder them within a category.
Select files either individually or en masse to move them into a different category.
Click the pencil icon to edit the label prefix and/or the starting number or letter.
When all your files have been uploaded, click Done. After clicking Done, your deposition files will process. You can check the status of your deposition in Notifications.
