DISCO rolls out new features and enhancements in three phases: crawl, walk, and run. These phases allow our team to obtain user feedback and performance data before a full release on all DISCO databases. You can read more about these phases here.
5/5/25
Reproductions - Rerun an entire production -- or just a subset of documents with updated images, redactions, metadata, and more while maintaining the same Bates numbers. Your original production settings are automatically populated and can be edited. A new "reproductions" card in the Productions list provides detailed information, along with options to cancel, delete, or download files. Additionally, the produced view, search, and filtering functionalities are fully supported to accelerate your workflow. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 5/5. You can learn more about this feature here.
5/19/25
Promote docs disabled when ECA toggled off - The Promote icon will now be grayed out when the ECA review space is toggled off, preventing misclicks and risk of accidental promotion. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 5/19.
Revision field information excluded for documents held at production - The Revision Number and Revision Count fields now exclude metadata for documents withheld after production, reducing the need for custom fields or manual load edits. This enhancement is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 5/19.
Timeline integration enhancement for the Doc Viewer - The timelines integration on the doc viewer now includes a sticky header for the action bar and fact bucket, keeping your actions available and reducing scrolling for facts. This enhancement is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 5/19.
5/27/25
Auto Review error messaging improvements - Auto Review now warns users when there are errors preventing it from running, such as a review source folder not being selected or the job exceeding the database document limit. This enhancement is in run, or or available on all new or previously created databases after 5/27.
HEIC Processing - DISCO now natively processes HEIC files at ingest in all databases. This enhancement is in run, or available on all new databases or previously created databases after 5/27.
Features in crawl
Crawl is a rollout phase in which we give a subset of customers early access to a new feature or enhancement for testing and feedback purposes. Please contact your DISCO representative if you or your organization wants to leverage any of the features listed below.
5/19/25
Bookmarks for Cecilia Q&A - Bookmarks for Cecilia Q&A allows users to save Cecilia Q&A messages and limit exports to bookmarked messages, saving users time in scrolling or re-asking key questions. You can learn more about this feature here.
International date support - Choose from predefined international date formats during ingest and overlay to seamlessly upload data from anywhere in the world.
Updated Review Database Archive & Delete - Users can better manage their database archive and deletion requests from the platform, with an improved request interface and better insight into any billing impact.
5/27/25
Cecilia Q&A follow-ups - Cecila Q&A can now use context from prior conversations to answer follow-up questions, saving the user time and allowing for a more natural conversation flow.
Resolved issues
5/5/25
Searchable transcriptions overlay support - AV files added before the release of searchable transcriptions can now be automatically transcribed via native overlay, enabling searchability and synced playback and avoiding the need to reingest.
5/12/25
Email count fields fix - A bug that made the email count field appear empty has now been fixed, with counts populated and sortable in the document list.
Backend production object streamlining - Backend production objects no longer populate unnecessary information for TIFF productions, reducing slowdowns.
5/27/25
Redaction updates - The spreadsheet hit jumper now displays mass-redactions and manual redactions, allowing users to directly navigate (jump) to specific redacted content regardless of how the redaction was applied. Users can also easily edit existing mass redactions from the viewer.
Additionally, conditional rules requiring redaction in review stages prevent users from marking the document as reviewed.
